    Not entirely a fan of the way they make it sound like Commonwealth pilots were only out to save their own countries - surely there was some altruism involved! The author certainly mentions it for the Americans...

    Very true; also, the chance of Canada, Australia, et al surrendering to Germany if the UK fell is pretty ludicrous.
