    Default January 2022 Workbench

Hmm...no one opening new threads anymore?

Well, refurbishing my 15mm Napoleonic's so started with the British last week. Added 4 more line units and brought some of the 25+ year old units up to current standards. This week started my Austrians by finishing one more line unit tonight and have 3 more on the table. At least 12 more plus lots of cav and arty in the unpainted pile still. French will be next and that could take a while as I have over 25 units plus officers and arty and they REALLY need to be upgraded. Most were Ex Royal early stuff so are still in white coats that will not do for late or some middle period stuff (and Spain)

My hands started cramping up and my eyes turned all red and blurry just from looking at this massive painted army.

    Very cool.

Sad thing is, this is my SMALLEST army, not looking forward to the French.

EDIT: Also need to get flags for all the units, half either have none or only 1 flag in the unit.

I always did have a soft spot for the A-H empire in the Nappy wars.

Thanks! Ialso have a PBJ-1D conversion in the works with the belly radome and tailgun. Last 3 from the trumpeter 5 pack will be VVS B-25C, RAF Mitchell I and a Doolittle.

I've also been trying my hand at invasion stripes on a Trumpeter Wildcat. It needs a bit of clean up, but I'm amazed how well it has come out using masking tape and brush paints.

    Hi friends,

I am trying to figure out how to use my WoG planes also in "In Clouds of Glory"(ICOG) game. Goal is to by able to use planes in both games. Planes in ICOG needs to be positioned in any position. So I am using standard magnetic gimbal mount. Only modification to the plane needs to be to glue gimbal ball directly to the peg of the plane, instead to the height peg, as I have it now. Here you can see few prototype moveable clip holders to hold the plane to the pole.

Eek, almost missed this. Lots of good work showing up in January. Love 15mm Nappys for sure. Oooo, that B-25 will be great when finished. Nice Wildcat too.
