Some Wings of Glory Action in Dayton Ohio today!

Our first Dawn Patrol was on the Italian Front. Italian Caproni vs some Austria-Hungary Albatros D.III.

Against the Austria-Hungary Albatros D.III






The Albatros D.III gave the Caproni a mean chase!





The first Caproni goes down shortly after releasing its bombs.


The Second Caproni gets taken out by a collision with one of the Albatros D.III.


Next, we had a quick Dawn Patrol Dogfight. Two Italian Hanriot HD.1 vs. a Phonix D.I and a Aviatik D.I











The Italians were sent home full of holes!

Good to see Dan, we had an Italian Front night at Entoyment last Wednesday.

More Italian fighters, less Capronis! LOL It was fun to fly an Austrian-Hungarian D.III.

were they taken with a phone/tablet?

If so, the "software" recognises 'up' when the camera lens is at one end - if you turn the camera 180 degrees, the image you are about to photograph looks the same to YOU, but the camera lens is now at the other end so the phone/tablet has now reversed 'up' and 'down'.

New phones and tablets have overcome this problem - my new smartphone works it out, my old one didn't.

When I upload my photos onto my laptop, I open each one in 'Photos' and spin it the right way up, then save, then move on to the next one.
I do this BEFORE uploading the pictures to the 'Drome.

Yes, I took them with my phone. It is odd, they looked correct when I previewed them on my computer. They also uploaded to the Wings of Glory/War Facebook group fine. I will look into this more.
