    Default LATE WAR DUEL

Discovery of Wings of Glory WW1 for Tom (usual Warhammer player) flying a Sopwith Snipe against Monse on Fokker E.V (no altitude rules).

    1. First exchange of fire without damage points but the Snipe jams, and manages to stay out of range of the Fokker for the next three maneuvers.

    2. New mutual shooting with 3 damage points each and a blocked rudder for the Snipe.

    3. Immelman of the Fokker to shoot at short range on the Snipe (4 points).

    4. Same maneuver of the Englishman which wounds the German pilot (6 points).

    5. New exchange of fire sanctioned by 1 point of damage on the Snipe and the jamming of the Snipe.

    6. A few maneuvers later, the Fokker can again fire successfully at the Snipe (2 points).

    7. English makes up for it with a short-range shot on German (3 points),

    8. The Fokker fires back shortly after (2 points for Snipe).

    9. Distant shot without effect of the German.

    10. Ultimate fight between the two planes fatal to the Fokker with 10 points of damage and a second damage pilot wounded.
Fire of the Snipe but no elimination.

A nice succession of maneuvers using all the movement capabilities of these two very agile planes.

Yes! A very neat little action. Must have been quite evenly matched until that last burst Simon.

Good fight Simon. Don't see many Snipes or E.Vs (D.VIIIs) in the air.

Did the Snipe draw its 3 'A' damage Fire cards?
The Fokker might have snatched a draw...

Thanks for the AAR. Nice clear pictures.

In photograph 5, if the 0 with gun jam was drawn by the Fokker, doesn't the jam apply to the shooting plane, this time the Snipe? Or have I been playing gun jams wrongly?

    You are indeed correct Doug.

Yes, we could have applied the rule.
But as it was a first game for Tom, we stopped it by the Fokker destruction.

    You are right.
We played the rule correctly, but I have made a mistake writing the report.
    Editing done. Thank you.
