In addition to tabletop flight games like those offered by Ares and others, I enjoy flight simulators on my PC.

Over quarantine, I dabbled (for the first time since X-Wing back in the 90s) with space flight sims, the most notable being Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous. Both feature "Newtonian" flight models that capture the same kinds of maneuvering that BSG's very cool ruleset does on the tabletop.

Adapting the very neat and very good BSG rules to create ship profiles and maneuver decks for these ships seems like a very obvious and fun solution... so obvious that I have to wonder if the developers of BSG have considered repurposing this great ruleset for the purpose?

Might be a way to make lemonade out of the lemons of losing the BSG license.
