Two WGS sessions are on the schedule for The Gauntlet over MLK weekend at the Santa Clara Marriott (Jan 14-17, 2022)

The two sessions are Fri Jan 14 from 6pm to 11pm "Battle of Britain"

Event Description:

Summer 1940. Europe is in the midst of World War II. France has fallen and Great Britain faces the Luftwaffe in a battle for survival. This will be a mini campaign covering Luftwaffe sorties intercepted by the RAF. Featured aircraft will include the Me109, Do 17, Ju 88, Hurricane, and the iconic Spitfire. Open to all players and will accommodate drop ins. “So much owed by so many to so few.”

and Monday Jan 17 9am to 2pm "RAF Bomber Command"

Event Description:

Following the Battle of Britain, the RAF strikes back at Fortress Europe with strategic bombing. In a series of missions, the RAF will fly escort and bombing sorties while the Luftwaffe is put on the defensive. Featured aircraft include the Lancaster, Spitfire, and Me 109. Open to all players and will accommodate drop ins.

Just in case anyone in the SF bay area was thinking of going to THE GAUNTLET war game convention, I received an email from the organizer that due to the recent increase of reported cases of Covid (Omicron) the convention was cancelled.

I just saw this. Good to know there is some WoG happening close the the Bay Area. Hopefully with the relaunch I will be around more and maybe attend one of these (that does not get canceled).
