Just finished reading: half a wing, three engines and a prayer by Brian D. O'Neill. (revised edition) recounting the 25 missions of Robert Huller's crew of a B.17 from 303 group (hells angels) plus additional contributions from other airmen. Really brought daylight bombing into focus.

Other book was: We're here to win the war for you by Martin W. Bowman. Totally different. the background to the 8th air force in England. Contributions from men women and children and airmen as to how they felt about the country, food, living conditions and each other. A good read about areas I'd never thought of.

Older books I know but I really enjoyed them. Well worth a read for anyone
