Thread: Scoring a game

  1. #1

    Default Scoring a game

So how do you score a game where one side as a plane flown off the board intact (enemy side) and the other has one shot down? Asking for a friend

    Default

In our games if you fly off the board you are eliminated just as though you were shot down. Therefore it would be a draw.

The last plane in the play area, still flying, is the winner.

If the second last plane leaves due to: damage; permanently jammed guns or exhausted ammunition; out of fuel; broken morale; etc..., it has yielded the game.

Should the remaining plane subsequently fall out of the sky, it was still the remaining plane.

There are campaign rules for planes forced out of play, and points for shooting down planes, but victory conditions would probably affect who ultimately won.

PS: In the Over the Trenches Campaign rules, there are morale rules that force a plane to withdraw and not fight to the death. Like engine damage, or a plane on fire with less than 5 damage points remaining.
