I was thinking of doing the usual training missions for newbs & one, or, half hour dogfights for those more experienced who want to try it. I was wondering about chucking some bombers down the table perhaps so some Gotha, Caproni or even Giants may not be amiss ? Still gotta get my head around it all but I will try and message you tomorrow.

Just FYI, I'm not a big fan of Giants at participation events - they're "boring" for the punters to fly them, and too dangerous for them to attack. Previous attempts have resulted in punter disappointment, as they just can't cooperate with other attackers, so they go in alone and get hammered, unless like at WMMS we "fix" the damage draws and "forget" to fire multiple defensive weapons at them!

I looked up the BIC venue (not being very familiar with the geography of jolly ole England). On the coast and full of things to do and see. Very jealous
Looking forward to the photos, AARs and stories. You guys always put on a great show.
Photos may be few and far between from me this time but it was splendid to see the usual suspects at what is now a major UK event and after such a long time. I can't thank them enough for their support for this event. Not too many punters but we had a few laughs in the brawls we played today. Same again tomorrow then I will see if I can do better with the camera.

Well, here goes with the few images I managed to take - apologies it's been a while !
The gathering of the clan - In the foreground is Justin (JuD) talking with Gary (Hu Rhu), both Wednesday Night regulars; Tim (Flying Helmut) in the green Tee , DM (David Manley) now aka 'Prof'; Barrie (Baz) in the blue Tee. Somehow Andy (Ajay) has slipped out of shot & I'm behind the lens of course !
I set the lads up with Camels v Fokker D.VII's but stood out from this game to cover the newbs Bounce the Recon scenario end of table if required. It didn't take too long before planes were falling... Think this was Ajay's Camel & DM's Fokker watched by Tim's STEFFI

Tim's the last man standing - I think he was pleased !
We drew some interest from passing punters - Gary assisted me with the Bounce the Recon scenario with Stuart who had never played the game while DM & Ajay tidied the table behind.
For a while I thought I may give them the slip but was taken out shortly after this
Soon Tim and Baz were also engaged with punters wanting to play
Both tables in action, I think DM is looking for heavenly intervention ?
Stuart stayed on to play a bounce the scout scenario assisted by Ajay, they took on my Camel with a Alb D.III's winning the throw & approaching me from 3 and 5 o'clock. Behind Gary & Tim picked up interest as had Baz opposite them.
All engaged
Gary proved unstoppable, taking on another group - well done that man !
That afternoon we managed to reconvene and have a game amongst ourselves again - Left to right : Ajay, Justin, Tim, Gary & Baz
SE5a's v Alb D.Va's this time. Tim's blooding his new acquisition of RAF's colour prints - literally in this case with a wounded pilot - I think Justin is on the receiving end in Bishop's Z.
Tim suffers the usual 'new plane' curse we all get ! Sean or Ajay got the kill, I can't recall which.
I have the same issue with the old planes !
I left them to it as I went for a wander and it was all over when I got back - someone else will have pics I'm sure but I believe the Germans won the day. Justin in Z eyes his options..
Switching things up again at the end of the day me, Baz & Tim took Fokker Dr.1s up against Camels. Tim has another of Daryl's prints this time.
The action was fast and furious, Tim's already wounded then set on fire
Things get a bit tight for a minute, I take some heat from Gary (hearts) but Baz manages to set the Camel (U) on fire
I managed to nab the kill with an Immel but take some love from Gary in the process at +1
Tim's 'new plane' curse follows him and he falls with 8 fire damage
Me and Gary are not far behind - Ajay catches me with a long shot (3wnd)and Gary rams Baz but comes off second best with a 6 C card
That left Ajay & Baz to duke it out - Ajay cleared the table !
And that was the end of day 1..
Here is some of the Sunday action:
After limbering up with a game between me, Ajay, Baz & Tim a couple of chaps from the Devizes club joined us for a game. We put them on opposing sides and went to work. Adam, the novice, was with Tim and Baz in Eindeckers, the chap who'd played before joined me and Ajay in the Nieuports.
Ajay & Baz took on each other on the left mat, the rest of us duelled on the right
I think Adam, our novice was a ringer, he was slippery as a slippery thing and I only managed a couple of shots on him.
Tim set my experienced wingman on fire though took a damaged engine himself at some point
Ajay set Baz afire
My wingman's first fire damage card did for him !
Leaving me with double trouble !
After much chasing about I tried to drag the two sides together
I've had better ideas !
Yeah, this was gonna hurt !
Told you so ! A kill to Baz
That left Ajay between a rock and a hard place - set on fire by the novice he decides not to be outdone..
And goes for broke !
A clean sweep for the Germans !
The chaps played another game with one regular punter which resulted in a collision between the surviving pair, Tim and Ajay - well worth the photo
Meanwhile I took a couple of X-Wing players through the Bounce the Recon scenario, Pete was the tournament champion it turned out. He and his wingman Minty really enjoyed the game & quite impressed with it's versatility. Being solo I didn't get any pics of it but they did for the recon as expected.
The afternoon was dead quiet and we had no takers for a game but handled a few enquiries about it and the models.
Steve(Guntruck) was a table over with his Aliens game - hopefully he'll post a pic. Good to see him again. Hope Tim & Baz will post some pics of the bits I missed too.
Sadly Mike(Mikeemagnus) didn't make it this time but he's well he tells me - next time buddy !
All in all a good weekend in good company and a fine way to spend a birthday. Thankyou gentlemen

Thanks to all for an enjoyable weekend, even though leaving early I travelled the 3 hours back to Essex in torrential rain. We had two fire alarms on the Saturday night, 30 mins after the live band finished!

Fire ends the guest’s Nieuport on the way, leaving Dave alone.
Dave’s plan misfires as he ends up in an Eindecker club sandwich

All pics showing for me now. Thanks to all the Dromers who attended the show. All the participants seemed to enjoy their introduction and we may even have a couple joinus on the regular Wednesday nights gaming in Poole. A great day out and nice to meet Baz and Dave for the first time and Ajay and Tim again.
I can see all of them now Barrie. Some must have taken longer to download to my server.

Another grand day out at the seaside. Great fun and good company. Really good to get some face to face games in at last. Glad that everyone got home safely. We managed to set a new personal best for the journey completing the 280 miles in 5 hours.
Cheeky sod but I appreciate photographic evidence showing me multi-tasking...Now I can show the missus I can do it too !
