Thread: Going Out Of Business

    Default Going Out Of Business

After over ten years of providing the Wings of War/Glory community with gaming accessories for this wonderfully fun game, I have made the very tough decision to close the Aerodrome Accessories store. You all have been great customers over the years and it has been a pleasure to design accessories to meet your gaming needs.

I have placed everything in the store on sale for 50% or more, most minis are only $6! For this sale I will ship to both the UK and EU. If the site looses track of inventory for any items, I will simply remove that item from your order and refund you the cost of that item. No substitutions will be made.

For those wondering, my family and I are doing fine. Life is just busy and I feel it is time to move on to other things. I will still be running and maintaining these forums as I still enjoy the game and most of all, I enjoy the friendships I have made here.

So, help me clear out my house of little airplanes and save your self some money at the same time!

Sorry to see it go, this is the only place I buy my WWI planes. Maybe a come back.

Sorry to hear you're selling up, but I quite understand the reasons.

Very many thanks for all the orders you've sent me over the years - oh, and for the one I've just placed, too!

Simply an offer I can't refuse...

On the other side, I'm sad such superb accessories won't be available anymore & feeling bad about Ares's plans with WoG.

Thank you, Keith, for your service

    Really sorry to see this.
Keith has been my primary supplier for the last 6 years.
    Just placed my last order.

A greater loss than the Ares products are all the excellent add-ons that Keith provided.
Thank you, Keith, for your great service.

Sorry to hear this Keith. Thanks for providing us with a good service over the years. I've just ordered a few bits, wonder if you can pop them in Flying Helmut's shipping container to save postage.

Have you discussed the takeover of flight stand production with anyone?

Many thanks for running this enterprise for us, and providing us with the tools, both official and of your own making,

Real shame Keith but understandable. Never easy to run a business and this sort of thing too. Many thanks for all the help you have given us and the many wonderful models and accessories you made available at best prices.

This is a sad day for us all Keith but I'm sure the right decision for you. Enjoy your new won freedom from the effort of mailing parcels and spend the time on yourself and your family.
Thanks for all the support you have given us with your products over the years.

I'm really sorry to see this happen... though I'm sure it was in the cards since Brexit and EU customs changed rules on international / worldwide business...
such a shame it just happened during my last purchase at Aerodrome Accessories which went awol (NO blame at all to you Keith !)
Hopefully this will not endanger this site, which has been my lifeline to the games WoW, WoG and Sails since I joined in august 2014.

THANKS a ton for all you did for us addicts,

    cheers,

Only found this thread today and needless to say Keith is completely sold out. Never mind, I really did not need any thing anyway.
Sorry to see you go Keith but quite understand why. Best wishes for success in whatever you decide to do now. Thanks for the orders that I have placed and it has been a pleasure dealing with you.

To add to what my esteemed colleagues have already said, it is a sad day, one which create a real void for our community. Looking forward we will need to satisfy our urges for all things Wings (and Sails) elsewhere. Thanks for everything you have done Keith

Keith, thanks so much for all the past orders! Your Aerodrome Store was the Google search hit that led me to the game. What was that game with the little airplanes that I saw long ago? Oh, look at this site! Hey there is an entire Wings of Glory forum!

I"ll ping you shortly to see if we can get back to some local game night events. I'm about half way through painting Zombicide 2nd Edition - the other game you introduced me to that became an obsession. Perhaps after the kids go back to school and things calm down a bit.

Maybe after you get done using my planes for target practice... again... I can introduce YOU to a few new games!

OH MAN!!! NOOOOO!!!! Where else am I going to get my custom flight bases and spinning props etc? So many projects and no source to get bases or spinning props.
Well, Thanks for what you have done so far Keith! That aspect will be sorely missed truely!!
I just ordered a pack of the 10mm three blade spinning props and a couple of the Re 8 bases. I've been using a couple that I made way back when after I got the kits. Now I have an excuse to use proper bases.

Sad to see the shop shutting down, but it looks like the final sale did well – everything is cleared out!

Keith, for those of us that will need accessories in the future, have you considered selling or releasing the template files for lasercut parts (props, hangers, cockpits, stands, etc) so that enterprising individuals can cut their own and continue with the same designs?

I sent Keith a message about Rival Sky Games potentially continuing the line a few days ago, as a very similar business to Keiths. (ie priority to Ares miniatures)
    Could be a potential option!

The AA store was still the place were I get the first planes and ships of a new series.

Meanwhile we wait ages for something new, or reprints from Ares Games.
The new tax handling rules for the UK and soon the EU, doesn‘t make the business easier.

Beside this I‘m shure it cost you a lot of time to provide us with miniatures & Accessoires from the beginning, dear Keith.

Thank you for all the time, work and the Great service to Good old Europe.

I have been ill so missed your original post and come back today to find there is not a lot left in the store which is a good thing for you as you have been a star in keeping things running.

I must say thank you for all your effort in running the online store, the flight stands are the best on the market and will be missed.

You have provided some of the most essential items for the game and they will be missed but things have to move on and I wish you well.

    Regards Kevin

Sorry to hear Keith, your shop was an insiders´ tip even here in Europe and thank you for good and fair business. It might be that I was the lucky devil that got your last Fokker D VII, last May.

And admittedly a lack of new product didn't help either... this is reminiscent of how 12-7 Games was solely dependent on Ares lines for stock and was shot down by unreliable release schedules.

I've been absent from this site for some time, so I missed out on the sale. But I did want to say many thanks to Keith! I was able to build up quite a few flights of WWII fighters and bombers to expand my Battle of Britain collection. Thanks again!

I somehow missed this thread. Thanks for what you've done. I only use your foam trays for my planes. You've been great. Good thing I ordered the BSG stuff before you shut down? Now I'm nervous... did I order the T&T items?

    Take care,
