Oh my giddy Aunt.....

I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
The list keeps growing on the ones I want. Man, not sure which ones I want to order next.
Why do the full color models have mounting pegs, but the monochrome ones do not?
So how many books are in your personal library?
Those Italian N.11s are the bees knees.
Monochrome planes require preparation, painting, decals, protection coat, etc. For folks willing to do all that, many are using alternative mounting methods like ball joints, magnets, etc. So I have the pegs available as a separate product (for those that want them), and mounting one is just one more step.
Whereas the full-color models are meant to be ready-to-use.
Having finished several Nieuport 11s, I wanted to announce that I'm now adding Pfalz D.III's. (I had done D.IIIa's before, but I have the D.III as a different model, which means different texture mapping.) I'll probably add a couple more (and maybe an overlooked D.IIIa or two) before moving onto something new.
Nice! Very nice!
Very cool, Daryl
Nice Pfalz selection.
More beauties, Daryl.
Wish I could win the lottery and get one of each of your models.
For now I will have to be satisfied with the 5 I have.

You just love tripping Tim's buttons, don't you Daryl.

The Ancillotto one looks especially tempting.
Brandenberg D1 looks good.

some nice looking new Spad VIIs, which also means looking for some new Albatros D.IIIs. You're a wicked man Daryl but also a great modeller
Daryl was quick to answer a question I had so I have ordered two Brandenberg D1's. Another question for anyone is how do you print a plane card at the right size?
It is hard to describe how to print the cards at the right size because it is going to depend so heavily on the software you are using. The full-size images on Wings of Linen are 700x1066 pixels which translates to 44mmx67mm at 159 pixels per cm which is equivalent to 1.73"x2.64" at 404 pixels per inch. Those proportions are built into the meta-data in the file. Some software will read that and print things out correctly; other software will require you to set things up by hand or even to resize them.
In Microsoft Paint, for instance, you have to go into Page Setup and select "Scaling Adjust to 100% normal size", or else the software will try to make it fit a full page. (But that's all I had to do to print it from Microsoft Paint.)
Thanks guys but I have now realised that the oversized "wallet" size is better for my eyes anyway so I laminated a couple of those. It is soooo much easier to read I am thinking of doing all my plane cards that way now.
Trouble is, you can't use them on the table as positional surrogates for the aircraft models (the primary intended use for the plane cards) because the speed arrows are no longer the correct length (and the card is too big, so it is much easier to reach with enemy range rulers ).

And the hardware, too!
Whist trying to print out a sheet of Word-document plane cards, I set the size required and printed a "test" sheet on normal paper; everything was fine.
So, I swapped out the paper for Photo paper, set the printer to accept Photo paper, selected "Best Quality" and printed; the cards all came out at 96% size!
I had to waste several sheets of expensive Photo paper in order to discover the exact upsizing required to get the cards @ the correct dimensions!

2 requests: the F2b Brisfish and F2b Crocodile.
See
https://www.eduard.com/Eduard/Plasti...fish-1-48.html
While both were senior officers personal mounts used in home establishment training squadrons, such aircraft were routinely used in ad hoc air defence interception attempts of both Zeppelins and Gothas. The Crocodile check pattern in particular was also used on night fighters.
They thus make plausible opponents for both R.VIs and G.Vs.
Now that the R.A.F. F.E.2b has been shown to come out okay in the new FCN12 material at a reasonable price, I've added some more and slightly revised the one I had before. The black one is in night-bomber camouflage, with only the upper surface of the top wing in PC12 with normal RFC cockades. The under-wings are marked only with the white circle. Morris & Rees' FE2b was the Baron's first official air victory.
I still wish the FCN12 colors were deeper. I'm going to experiment with my FCN12 print and some gloss coat solutions to see if... 1) the colors are deeper when sealed and/or 2) I can get a semi-gloss finish on it, to reflect real planes with varnished fabric. They're also available in HDFC material, but that's very expensive for this large a plane.
Look awesome and very tempting
Hello Daryl. Could you have a look at producing a (few) Halberstadt D.IIIs if you're looking for a new project?
I think I need to plan for a big order (with some Origins' planes included), and just give SWs a whole paycheck (or two)

Ooooh! Pups, Fees, Brandenburgs & SSWs! Nice collection of rare birds!
Here are the same FCN12-material planes as above after applying satin varnish [plus the Hautzmayer D3(Oef)]. I'm pleased! The varnish brings out the colors better, gives the wings a little gloss (as they would have had in real life), and protects them as well.
I used four light coats of Army Painter satin spray varnish, spraying the underside first and then the topside. Always test your varnish on an obscure part of the plane in case it somehow dissolves the color or the plastic.
Thanks, Darryl.
I'll be placing an(other) order in the next couple of weeks.
They look really good!

Yes, it was, and it's one I've often suggested they do. Well, if they won't you will! Nice!
Let us know when it's "soon."
Daryl, you are the devil . It looks beautifful. How do you know this plane is missing in my collection . Must have for me for sure.
Nice! Loving it!
