3 players : Sulring, Wildcat, Monse.
Photo Reconnaissance for an AEG C.IV (Sulring’s magnificent creation from a Shapeways miniature), two-seater of recognition with a wingspan making the double of its length and a rear machine-gun being able to shoot with a widened angle towards the front on the targets at the same altitude as the Roland CII (formidable capacity).
Edit : regarding to Flash message below, it appears that the AEG C.IV rear gun have a classical firing arc and can’t fire forward.
There are at least four rear gun forward shots that shouldn’t have occurred, all against the French yellow Spad.
The game would have probably ended a different way.
Facing Wildcat’s US Spad VII and Sulring’s French Spad VII, the AEG commanded by Monse is going to follow the periphery of the map by undergoing : injury of the pilot (4 phases to disengage), jamming of the front machine gun (depriving the US Spad of several damage cards !) but inflicting smoke and fire to the French Spad :
Tactical error committed by the German (2nd, 3rd and 4th photo below): after a second rear shot on the French Spad VII, the observer makes the choice to shoot at short range on the US Spad (2 damage cards) rather than renew his shot on the French at long range (which would have resulted in an additional +1 damage), especially since on the 3rd movement he has only the French in his arc of fire (hence a potential additional +1 damage) :
After flying over the target (the castle) at less than half a ruler with a stall card to take the picture, the AEG comes back towards its 2 opponents and sends them to the ground, thanks to the deadly shots of its rear machine gun combined with the front weapon (see last picture) :
Nevertheless, a mistake was committed by the German (but without consequence on this part) : to have gone along the edge of the mat during about ten movements, with the risk to have a rudder blocked on the opposite side of the edge and without the possibility of being able to make Immelman like a fighter to avoid a mat exiting.
