I just wanted to make some advertising for a new game about WWII air combats, actually on Kickstarter.
It s a very nice project... so, support it !

"Relive the fury of air and sea combat in the Pacific during World War II.

Direct each plane in multiple fighter and bomber squadrons to lead attacks on the enemy’s carriers and island bases. No dice, no rulers, only dozens of planes and ships! A fast-paced and streamlined game mechanic that plunges you in the heart of the battle. Move each plane individually on a hex grid. When you maneuver to get an enemy plane in your sights, it must try to dodge or else take damage. Some planes can use torpedoes and bombs do destroy ships and ground installations. Stay in formation to keep the initiative and dominate your opponent. Each plane has its own attributes in terms of speed, armor, and special abilities.

Each piece is illustrated as close as possible to its historical model to maximize your immersion!

FIGHTERS OF THE PACIFIC will be available in ENGLISH and FRENCH."

Could be a fun game; the components look very good.

    Been following this one.
I want to see more about ship movement and torpedoes and if spotting is any part of the setup, or does it always assume an attack on a predetermined target?
(Just went back to the KS page and I see they have added search planes in the stretch goals, but no explanation on how they will work.)

I would like to see a more inclusive video in English since it's the carrier aspect I am most interested in rather than just dogfights.

Looks interesting but will stick to all the WGS I have already bought and painted.

Yeah, looks like a fun filler game. Doesn't seem to have a big footprint.

I Kickstarted it but then I discovered that they got rid of the rules governing sudden direction changes. In the original rules, if you were turning or sliding to the left, you couldn't suddenly change direction and turn right. Now you can. I ended up backing out because it seems more like you're just playing GO with airplane shaped counters than your are playing a WWII air combat game. WWII: Age of Dogfights looks much, much better.
