Clipper's Excursus, The Explorer
Oblivion is an expanse of it's own. In my drifting, obscure bits of my existence came into sharp focus and demanded resolution. In my driveway lurked a 1999 Ford Explorer with a power steering gearbox that had completely self destructed, rendering it immobile. It looked fine but was doomed.
While I was isolated in the hospital a group of my friends decided to get my Ford fixed. And boy did they! New gear box, new tires, total tune up. It awaited my return. I was delighted, grateful, and inspired. I had always wanted to do it up with some custom graphics so as a total distraction it began . . .
Vinyl work - Our Hero and wingman emerged from my childhood . . .
Holes in the headliner needed covering , so I scanned and printed spotters cards onto sticky label paper . . .
And so the project was done!
Gotta love the B-24 graphics
Added a 1/144 scale B-24 to the rear view mirror, let the missions begin! Thanks to all my cohorts!
