Turn 8.1
The flames eat away the last of the fabric holding his Camel together and Sherlochnumber1 plunges to the ground. Our first casualty credited to Sam Urai.
Sam Urai, who is also on fire begins an overdive and is helped on his way by another burst from Hedeby. Marechallannes and Stumptonian adopt protective positions around the escaping Baz. Camel Crew having turned hard to his right manages to get a short burst into Marechallannes’ Albatros. Flash, Teaticket and Camelbeagle seek to re-position themselves having been eluded by Baz last turn.
Turn 8.2
Hedeby overlaps the diving Sam Urai and can’t fire at him. Damn those Spads are fast! Sam Urai manages to get a shot into Camelbeagle whilst Marechallannes has banked left and engages Hedeby. Elsewhere Baz continues to fly straight and level whilst miraculously avoiding his pursuers.
Turn 8.3
A very quiet final phase as no shooting takes place. Sam Urai, Hedeby and Marechallannes seem determined to occupy the same piece of airspace and all overlap. Baz finally turns eastwards after flying six consecutive straight manoeuvres. (Surely that should have been suicide?) Flash, Teaticket and Camelbeagle are all rushing after him but will they reach him in time? Stumptonian turns towards the pursuers to try and delay them further.
As he completes his overdive, Sam Urai has successfully extinguished the fire on his Albatros.
PLEASE NOTE - Flash should be A2 C0. I forgot to remove the climb counters when he climbed to A2.

Not a criticism Baz, just amazement that it worked! Your rudder was only jammed for three of those straights but if it ain't broke then why fix it. Don't want to jinx you, but not far to go now!

Turn 9.1
Mindful of the threat posed by the onrushing Flash and Teaticket, Baz heads for the treetops. Stumptonian has moved to intercept Teaticket but overlaps the Spad instead. To add insult to injury he is fired upon by Camelbeagle. Sam Urai banks left at the end of his overdive and is fired upon by Hedeby once again.

Turn 9.2
As Hedeby tries to dive immediately after his stall there is a loud crack accompanied by tearing fabric and his Spad starts to come apart. Obviously that last shot from Marechallannes did more damage than he thought and Hedeby plunges to earth. Baz now turns away from his pursuers remaining just out of range. Stumptonian has given Camelbeagle the slip and is now heading towards his wingmen.
Turn 9.3
Baz powers closer to the safety of the German lines, not far to go now. Flash is still valiantly trying to catch him but is unable to get a shot. The other Entente and Central Powers aircraft appear to be leisurely reforming with their respective wingmates.
Bugger.... stupid plane, stupid 5 point damage card.

Turn 10 in and straight to the field hospital for me when I land! Great job by the wingmen and managed to get a successful photo in despite overshooting on the first run, which is why I am a bit behind the other two. Must have covered the whole of the two maps, these crates are slow and limited turning, which cripples you if you get rudder damage.
Thanks for the interesting game to the end thanks to the oppo, and to Andy for running it.
One of the only games I have finished so happy (but still no kills).

With the way my engine is sounding and acting up, I couldn't even catch camel beagle. Time to head home for me. I'l set the drinks up in the Mess not saying who'se tab they're going on
