AAR Dayton Ohio Wright Flight May 8 2021
Today we did some more Lafayette Escadrille vs. The Chancellors Eagles. We got two fun games in today.
Mission 1
First Mission was a Balloon Busting Mission. The American Flown French planes are on a mission to take out one of the German Observation Balloons.
The Nieuports went for the Balloon quickly.
The German Fokkers were waiting and ready!
This has to be the closest to NOT flying off the edge I have ever seen!!!
One of the Nieuports underestimated his flight plans and flew off the map by accident! UGH!
Now it is two on one! The remaining Nieuport has a gun jam and a pilot wound! Is he staying in the fight?
No! The brave pilot decides that the odds are not in his favor and flees to fight another day!
Mission 2
Here we have a nice shapeways Caudron that G-Dog brought. Nice Job!
The mission is a French Recon. We have a Caudron and two Nieuport Scouts for escort.
A couple of Fokker E.III are on patrol and see the French planes.
The French Escort and the Germans get into a fray quickly.
One of the Fokkers Goes down from Damage.
The Caudron gets it pictures. The remaining Fokker has a gun Jam. EEK!
The Nieuports are getting turned around to pursue the Fokker!
The Fokker decides today is not a a good day to be a dead hero and heads home!
A fun day of flying!
