Naglo D.II 1918 (Germany). Hunter. The Naglo D II was the only quadruplan fighter built in Germany during the First World War. Three planes were connected by N-spacers and the last plane was at the bottom of the landing gear connected to the fuselage by a V-spacer. It was powered by a 160-hp, 6-cylinder Mercedes in-line engine and its fuselage was very similar to that of theAlbatross D V. It made its first flight in May 1918 and was tested more extensively in June of the same year when it was noted particularly poor flight qualities. It was sent back to the factory to be improved but the end of the war in November 1918 stopped the project."
