Visualizing American air power with models 1942/43 : a fleet of 4,500 model airplanes was suspended from the ceiling of Chicago’s Union Station (Illinois)
The planes in this photo were hanging 60-feet above the floor of the station, with wing spans between one foot and four feet (for the bombers). It was a fantastic, blustery, iconic effort to show what it meant to look at 4500 planes !

I wondered who would be first, so I drew up a list, and guess who was at the top?

    Yes, that's right!

    Here it comes.....

I saw this last night and it was all I could do to step away from the keyboard! So many jokes, so little time. I was going to go with, "Better check your research...I'm sure that's actually Tim's attic". But as I poked fun earlier this week, I let that one slip by. "Bedroom" was better anyway.

That's an impressive effort. Reminds me of our neighbour when I was a kid, he had a double garage ceiling bedecked with his creations including a Hindenberg and some other rare kits we didn't usually see in the shops. Many were still there last time I visited about 15 years ago.

    Thumbs up

Well that would have taken a whole lot of work.

    Amazing effect.
