Attachment 299587After years of searching finally found a photo of this aircraft.

Aviatik C.I. A single seat conversion initiated by Fliks 23 and 46F. This concept allowed a camera equipped fighter the ability to defend itself during a high speed penetration of enemy territory. With only one crew man aboard the C.I was deemed equal to the Aviatik D.Is.
37 series at least 16 were converted. 178km/h or 111mph climb to 1,000 meters in 3 min 52 sec equipped with 185hp or 200hp Daimler engine.
137 series at least 12 were converted equipped with 185hp Daimler engines.

Must have had better cameras than the ones I thought they used, with 1 plate per photo, and switching plates for each exposure.

Self-loading cameras were developed during the war. Also, Germany created a camera which used a strip of film and operated somewhat like a movie camera. It could take 250 photos covering an area of 2.4 x 60 kilometers.
