Sorry I didn't get to posting turn 8 yesterday. When I got home a few hours after getting my jab I felt dizzy a couple of times. I thought it best to stay off the stairs to the basement. I'll get to it soon today.

Peter, I hope the dizzyness is something merely coincidental, and not one of the rare reactions to the vaccine.

    Aerodrome Raid – Turn 8

Not a lot of shooting this turn.

I am rethinking victory points for next time we have an aerodrome raid. For full points the attacker will have to fly off their friendly edge.

Malachi cannot keep on the board and is presumed lost disappearing into the void.

    Move 1.

Crash A Lot slips wide right and above camel crew.

Camelbeagle Immelmanns into the face of two N28s. Hedeby just overlaps and Sauerkraut is too surprised to shoot. Camelbeagle’s aim is terribly accurate. He only fired 2 bullets, one finding Sauerkraut and the other the fuel line.

No more feeling dizzy thank goodness.(I'm sure many of you think I'm dizzy all the time) Arm is sore. I never had the sore arm from normal flu shots that others have. Now to hang in here until the 2nd jab in 4 weeks.

Back to the game! Looks like there could be some more tight maneuvering coming up next turn.

Having a rear gunner sure makes flying a lot easier. Just imagine your rear gunner had more than his share of liquid courage before take off and is now asleep.

Starting altitudes might be worth looking at too. In a scenario where the mission is ground attack starting the defenders alevel above the attackers makes it a long chase down to altitude 1before the real action can start. Maybe have the defenders climbing to intercept would have worked better?

Got to disagree with that. The separation creates decision points for both sides. The attackers have to get down to do the job, the defenders know that so they both have to pick their moment to commit to a level.
Though, catching the defenders taking off would have been fun it would make their decision point very easy.

Don't see why not You're not allowed to do straights when on fire - a dive is not a straight; if you had enough altitude to start with you could also overdive with a chance to put the fire out.
