Flash leans hard into his turn and just stays on the table.
Sauerkraut and Stumptonian turn towards each other…will one get the jump on the other?
Camelbeagle, expecting Hedeby to turn on his tail wonders why he’s climbing. What’s he up to?
Gangleader147 stalls unnerving camel crew who feels he has to dive beneath him. Crash A Lot wrings his hands as his target dives down right in front of him.

Move 2.
Camelbeagle turns towards home still expecting Hedeby to give chase but he continues on his straight course.
Both Sauerkraut and Stumptonian seem hesitant to commit and stall while keeping an eye on each other.
Flash turns back towards the oncoming camel crew hoping to be able to relieve some of the pressure on him.
Gangleader and Crash A Lot are sandwiching camel crew with Crash A Lot still pumping lead into the wine red Pfalz.

Camelbeagle breathes a sigh of relief as he is our of danger from Hedeby.
Hedeby curses a blue streak as he fights with a plane that refuses to turn right or left.
Sauerkraut and Stumptonian finally make their moves and turn past each other/
Flash draws Gangleader147 away from camel crew but Crash A Lot closes in on camel crew’s tail.

Sauerkraut turns hard trying to get Stumptonian in his sights.
Hedeby, able to turn again, leans hard left to stay on the board.
Gangleader147 flies straight at Flash, but Flash turns right and passes over Gangleader147.
Crash A Lot anticipated Flashs turn and turns to meet him. They both close their eyes as they pull the trigger.
Double ouch!

Camelbeagle runs for home as Gangleader147 watches and cant reach him.
Sumptonian slips towards the oncoming Sauerkraut who just overlaps the back corner of Stumptonians base.

Camelbeagle exits so there will at least be one Hun to tell the tale.
Hedeby spots his wingman Sauerkraut dancing with Stumptonian and heads that way.
Stumptonian deftly stalls and Sauerkraut overshoots and pulls up over him.
(note Stumptonians position is the card under Sauerkraut.)

Well done Dan, at least one plane will reach home to let them know the outcome. Unlucky Pete (Flash) thanks for the help, there was a lot of wounded pilot tokens in this game. Hang in there Pete (Stumptonian) nearly there. A good victory but there's always a price to pay.

Something I should have put up before the start of the game. I made a sheet a few years ago to track a plane through a game. Log your movement plot turn by turn, note gun jams, damage taken and given, etc.
Using a sheet like this will help you remember what your last maneuver was, gun jams, rudder jams etc. Hopefully these will be a help in future games.

Move 1.
To possibly avoid a collision and maybe even get in a shot, Sauerkraut slips wide right over Stumptonian.
Stumptonian tricks Sauerkraut and pulls off a Split-S heading away from sauerkrauts course.
Hedeby charges in as fast as he can but comes up short.
Gangleader147 Immelmanns to face where the action is.

Hedeby seems confused and stalls, watching Stumptonian head away.
Sauerkraut turns but now knows he will not catch Stumptonian.
Gangleader147 builds up speed but is still to far away to see exactly what is going on.

Hedeby turns sharply to fall in behind Sauerkraut.
Gangleader147 reaches his wingmen but where if the Hun?
Ah, there is Stumptonian. Heading off to the unknown.

I think this one is over. On turn 15 no American will be able to reach Stumptonian. He wont leave his friendly edge and will lose points for not doing so but it will not diminish the German victory as they totally destroyed the aerodrome.
It was fun to run and when the real shooting started there was some great maneuvering.
Thanks to all that participated and to any onlookers.
Ill post a report on damage by and to each pilot.

I was glad to see my Split-S flummoxed the Yanks. Not a lot of choices with a wonky engine.
I was afraid at least one of 'em may have noticed my last move was a stall ....
