This reminded me of a past project: B-25H

I did up equipment cards for the 75mm nose and the J-2 nose, but I may have gotten some of it wrong. A standard B-25H would have a single .50 cal nose gun (one A damage chit). If it has the quad .50 cal cheek mounts, that should be two B damage chits, and with a J-2 Straffer nose six B damage chits (replacing the single .50 cal bombadier-controlled mg), and if the dorsal turret is firing in concert, seven B damage chits. Or do I have that wrong?

Were the cheek guns on US medium bombers (B-25, B-26, A-20) effective in air-to-air combat? I understood they were intended for strafing. I don't think the pilot had a gun sight.

They certainly weren't "defensive" armament, as the commentary stated they were!

Not really. Generally speaking, the pilot had a lot of other things on his mind then lining up a shot at a opposing fighter. I can't recall reading of any medium vs medium bomber actions either (like the B-24 vs He.117 actions),
though I suppose that could happen.
My house rule is that these guns can fire a straight line forward, same level; if some poor sap gets in the way, well war is hell.
