I used to play those type of games - great fun, especially when new orders made an enemy player (or Ally) suddenly do something totally unexpected!

I'll get some more light on the table.

I'll get the moves out as soon as I can. The plan is to get one done every other day or better.

Now it's up to you to look over the table, make a plan or not and send in your moves!

One note, I'll be using triple damage decks. Cards from downed planes will be shuffled back in.

Guess I am the first. Turn one in!

Second extra note, we are playing collisions with altitude as in the rules. Base overlapping base either same altitude both with no climb counters or both with any amount of climb counters.

I have been given both sides pre-mission briefings. In the order of fairness (not that I can probably take advantage anyway) I will delete whichever ones I don’t need.

So have I swapped sides or not?

  17. #67

Baz - I’m happy to revert back to the Italians if the boss is in agreement.

Hmmmm, in my sent mail I only see me sending you the Austrian briefing. Baz and Lee will keep their original assignments. They will swap the planes I had labeled incorrectly. Yes, spies are about!

Sorry about that. I guess I really need more lighting in the basement. I'll blame it on the spies.

One more thing I failed to cover, friendly edges are the short edges, left for the Austrians, right for the Italians.

I’ve just looked and the peaks in the Alps rise to 15200 feet and the ceiling of the Macchi M5 is 15000 so it would be touch and go but more likely splattered on the summit of Monte Rosa!!

Could have landed it at the naval bases at Pola or Trieste, no need to fly all the way back to Vienna.

    Over the Briny Turn 1

I’m not in the habit of leaving the movement cards down in the OTT solo campaign. I think the photos look better without. Starting with card 3 on turn 1, I will leave the cards down. I see how it helps the players see what is going on. I will also use the steep and straight reminder counters as the Phoenix has a short stall straight that is not a steep maneuver. Normal straight cards under the planes should be enough info without the counter.

    Now, on to the game!

An Italian patrol of four Macchi 5 flying boats out over the Adriatic spot aircraft in the distance. They are not expecting any friendly planes in the area so conclude that it must be the enemy. Getting closer they can see a UFAG C.I escorted by three Phoenix D.Is. There is also a small fishing boat far ahead of the Austrian flight.

The Italians quickly surmise the Austrians can only be up to no good. They set course to engage.

Gangleader147 begins to climb. Camelbeagle turns off to the left while Zenlizard plows on straight ahead.
