Ok pilots, here is the starting position. The table is 36" wide by 60" long. 91.5cm x 152.5cm for you euro-types.
I'll get some more light on the table.
I'll get the moves out as soon as I can. The plan is to get one done every other day or better.
Now it's up to you to look over the table, make a plan or not and send in your moves!
One note, I'll be using triple damage decks. Cards from downed planes will be shuffled back in.
Guess I am the first. Turn one in!
Second extra note, we are playing collisions with altitude as in the rules. Base overlapping base either same altitude both with no climb counters or both with any amount of climb counters.
Crash! Bam! Boom!
And if I have now been selected for the opposition, I will just need the briefing please.
If it was Karl I'd mean it !!

I have been given both sides pre-mission briefings. In the order of fairness (not that I can probably take advantage anyway) I will delete whichever ones I don’t need.
So have I swapped sides or not?
Baz - I’m happy to revert back to the Italians if the boss is in agreement.
Wait until peter decides - just after 6am where he is so may be a while !

Spies are discovered, cool!
Mornin' Peter - Yeah we'll blame the lighting...
Right, buckle up Hans, we're on !

Ok, peg on base it is.
One more thing I failed to cover, friendly edges are the short edges, left for the Austrians, right for the Italians.
Ok thanks all, Italian messages all deleted
Reminds me of back in the day, playing Paranoia with a bunch of random people at a convention. One of them started singing under his breath "Alpha Complex Traitor."
I was the first to open fire on the admitted traitor in our midst.
don't be surprised if something similar happens here.
Turn 1 moves in. Good to be back, didn’t like my visit to Rome!!
Thanks, bu5 it was hard enough sneaking out of Italy in the first instance
One to go for turn 1.
Just got back on here and seen I’m back on the original plan. Standby and turn 1 will be submitted and sorry for the delay.
Turn 1 in
Great. I'll hop on this right after dinner.
Over the Briny Turn 1
I’m not in the habit of leaving the movement cards down in the OTT solo campaign. I think the photos look better without. Starting with card 3 on turn 1, I will leave the cards down. I see how it helps the players see what is going on. I will also use the steep and straight reminder counters as the Phoenix has a short stall straight that is not a steep maneuver. Normal straight cards under the planes should be enough info without the counter.
Now, on to the game!
An Italian patrol of four Macchi 5 flying boats out over the Adriatic spot aircraft in the distance. They are not expecting any friendly planes in the area so conclude that it must be the enemy. Getting closer they can see a UFAG C.I escorted by three Phoenix D.Is. There is also a small fishing boat far ahead of the Austrian flight.
The Italians quickly surmise the Austrians can only be up to no good. They set course to engage.
Gangleader147 begins to climb. Camelbeagle turns off to the left while Zenlizard plows on straight ahead.
Malachi turns off to the right.
Once it was apparent there were Italians bearing down on them the Austrians reacted.
Baz and Karo7 both begin to climb.
Sauerkraut turns left while Flash slips left.
Zenlizard keeps on straight ahead while Gangleader147 climbs. Camelbeagle straightens out heading off to the left.
Malachi begins to climb.
Sauerkraut climbs as Flash keeps slipping left.
Baz speeds up and heads straight ahead while Karo7 slows down.
Sauerkraut dances close to the edge of the world, turning right with little room to spare.
Flash keeps up speed while Baz stalls and Karo7 slows down as a pair of Italian flying boats come charging into range. They put their heads down as they fire their weapons.
Malachi slips right, taking a look at a small fishing boat. Strange pair of masts or very tall fishing poles?
Camelbeagle turns right to set up a flanking approach.
Zenlizard and Gangleader147 slip towards a gap between the closest Austrians.
Karo7 and Zenlizard exchange at close range while Baz and Gangleader147 meet at long. Baz just barely clips Gangleader147.
Final turn 1 positions.
Turn 2 in!
Turn 2 submitted. What a lovely lil boat
Turn 2 Moves sent.
Well in chaps. My they're quick aren't they !
2 Up ..
Sapiens qui vigilat... "He is wise who watches"
Sh-sh go away you nasty seagulls!
Turn 2 in
Here's where it gets interesting.
Just waiting on one move. I can't wait to see this turn's jostling.
Peter,
Just asking you a question in PM then I can submit turn 2
Over the Briny Turn 2
The action intensifies as most planes are in firing range…Oh, where’s Malachi?
Oh, there he is, way out there.
Camelbeagle and Karo7 turn towards each other but only the Macchi can get off a shot.
Zenlizard turns tightly and gets a shot at the diving UFAG. The UFAG observer returns fire at the target above.
Saurekraut climbs while Baz Immelmanns, gaining in altitude.
Camelbeagle and Karo7 zip past each other.
Zenlizard turns, attempting to get on Flash’s tail but Flash turns hard left and escapes.
Malachi gets closer to the action.
Only Flash can get off a shot on 2-2, again at Zenlizard.
Final positions at the end of turn 2. Flash’s UFAG is the card under Malachi.
I didn’t place Malachi’s straight card as it would confuse Flash’s position. So I just placing a straight chit.
Malachi flies in straight and fast right over Flash with Saurekraut off to the side.
Blind Hans is having a busy day and gets off his third shot, this time into the belly of the flying boat above his head.
Camelbeagle gets a long range shot at Baz but Bas cannot lift his guns to bear on Gangleader147 above.
Karo7’s Immelmann brought him up to altitude 5 and just out of range of Camelbeagle below.
Here is the final position with a whole board view.
