2.0 The flames eat away at the fabric of Baz’s machine.

2.1 Teaticket and Flash bank towards each other and exchange fire at extremely close range. Zenlizard catches Gangleader147 as he performs an Immelmann in front of him. Sam Urai turns back towards the action, Stumptonian and Baz both stall whilst Camel Crew climbs above it all.

2.2 Camel Crew throws his aircraft into the path of Zenlizard’s machine gunfire, selflessly protecting Gangleader147 from further harm and shooting back at Zenlizard. Stumptonian turns in behind Teaticket and gives him a burst. Baz begins an overdive and Sam Urai continues his turn back into the fray.

2.3 The guns fall strangely silent. Camel Crew is too close to Sam Urai and cannot bring his guns to bear. Teaticket beats on his guns in frustration as Gangleader147 slips past. Stumptonian and Zenlizard have both guessed their opponents’ intentions incorrectly turned away from the action. Baz completes his overdive and the slipstream has extinguished his fire.

If it helps John, when trying to gauge distance on photos I use the aircraft bases as points of reference. As the cards are the same size as the bases, it can make it easier to judge where you will end up.

On the bright side, whilst you're staying out of it everyone else is shooting lumps out of each other. Should make it easier to sneak in later and poach a few kills.

If you always look at the bright side of things, you'll burn out your retinas and go blind.

Peter ! You sneaky devil... thought you'd try that ! Fair exchange, no robbery. Pete let you off the hook there.

Lee, a turn too soon, still, Iain saved you from further damage. Well in Iain, hope it didn't sting too much.

Early posting caught me off guard I will get my moves in asap.

Sorry about that. I didn't want to give you a free shot.

I was in a tight spot, on a collision course with Pete and you having a guaranteed shot on me. I turned on you and hoped I evaded Pete. He then turned on my tail but luckily for me let go.

Tough choices right from the get-go!

3.1 Flash dives in pursuit of Baz’s SE5a whilst Gangleader147 banks left towards Zenlizard’s Snipe. Meanwhile Zenlizard’s sideslip has enabled him to get a quick burst in on Stumptonian. Elsewhere Camel Crew and Sam Urai are still flying in very close formation and Teaticket banks left. Is he trying to head off Flash?

3.2 Baz climbs to regain some of his lost altitude. Flash sideslips but is out of range and fortunately for him just out of Teaticket’s arc after a sharp left turn. Gangleader147 sideslips after Zenlizard but is mere millimetres out of range. Sam Urai has banked right and joins the party, pouring fire into Stumptonian’s DVII as he performs a Split-S. Camel Crew dives back down to join the fun.

3.3 Zenlizard and Camel Crew turn towards each other and exchange fire. Gangleader147 appears to have got lost and is in danger of colliding with Stumptonian. Flash continues his pursuit of Baz but the SE5a is no slouch and remains stubbornly out of range. Sam Urai has climbed to get a better view of his opponents.

And, more importantly, two altitudes below him and out of range - not by chance either !

Public Service Announcement - Just a little reminder for you all. When planning your moves you may not plan two consecutive steep manoeuvres. This does carry over between turns so if your last manoeuvre of a turn is steep then the first manoeuvre of the next turn cannot be. That is all - carry on chaps.
