Like those ones, don't know why they perform so unnoticed in the European theater, but those were a pain in the a** of the Japs in Far East.

Too much other stuff catching the headlines. Heavy bombers are tops, then Fighters.
The guys crippling the German shipping lanes didn't get alot of press.

I played a game some while back with Beaufighters versus Me110,s. The Beaufighters won hands down.

Amazing footage of them at work, doing what they do best.

I can't say "underestimate" since my visit of Hendon Museum where Hispano-Suiza HS.404 cannon is displeyed. There are seveeral flying "things" you don't want to see from the front side: Bristol Beaufighter, Republic A-10, Mil Mi-24, ...

    Thumbs up

Nice to see the Beaufighter get some recognition.
They did great work flying out of airstrips south of Darwin taking it to Jap shipping & ground attack in & around New Guinea & the Pacific Islands.
I have a DVD made from camera guns & war footage featuring both Squadrons & interviews with pilots & crews after WW2.
