    the Japanese paintings were of very poor quality, at this you add saltwater and you've got to repaint your mount every month

    I couldn't find any listing of the guns, but the early versions of the N1K1-J said two 7.92mm MGs and two 20mm cannons. The engine on the N1K1 was not as good, by nearly half of the N1K1-J, but better than a Hawker Hurricane. So, with the pontoon, I thought the C deck might work. Total guess.
