After a heat wave for the last couple of days we awoke this morning to the smell of smoke. Fires in the hills and the area south of Adelaide. Hopefully not a replay of this time last year.

Sorry to hear that Gary!
All good down here on the South Coast. Had some hot days but most had a coolish Nor Easter which helped. No Fires thank the Lord.

Really hope there's no replay of that catastrophe.
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
I hope that they soon put the fires out.
We had a lot of rain that avoided catastrophe thankfully. I think some houses went up but no lives lost.
Please not this year.
Here's hoping things go well this year.
Glad natures fireman stepped in Gary

Not what you folks need, not with everything else going on. Fingers crossed...
Never Knowingly Undergunned !!
Glad to hear that things are safe for you now Baxter.
Thanks John. Adelaide has the sea to the west and a ring of hills to the east. People are warned about living in the hills so they are pretty used to watching out for fires. We are safe as we live in the northern suburbs, and it would take a catastrophic wind storm for the fires to sweep down here onto the city plains. Seeing and smelling the smoke brings it home though that others are not so lucky.
