So I was intenting on playing a solo game today but my 6byear old insisted on playing as well. She has played with me before so I was all in. Teach em young is our moto in the house. I let her choose first and she chose the Bf-110 due to the color and rear gunner. I countered with a pair of Spitfire Mk I to intercept. She chose to fight over water so there we had our mission.....
Bf-110 patrolling over the English Channel gets intercepted by a pair of Spitfires.
The spits break formation at the site of the 110 hoping to make him choose and allow the other to sweep in.
The plans seems to work as the 110 focuses on the lead Spit.
She loses focus for one second but still gets off a long range shot on the lead as the wingman sweeps in from the left side and rakes the 110 with fire. Minimal damage to theb110, but lead take a heavy hit. (6 points) (Sorry I forgot to get pics with damage tokens.)
Lead passes through the danger zone while the wingman manages to get on the tail of the 110. Shots are exchanged from the tailgaters and the Spit with the Spit taking the worst from accurate shooting by the tailgunner.
The wingman continues to hound the 110 despite smoking, as she attempts to evade the trail.
Things aren't looking good for the 110 as she starts to panic and the Spit gets a lucky hit makingbher smoke and wounding the pilot.
She makes a risky move by pulling an Immelmann from a split S (yes illegal, but only managed a single point of stress damage) to get the tail off her back. (She made a mistake in planning and at 6 years old how can you fight that)
Her tailgunner manages a luck shot causing the Spit to instantly explode sending the flaming wreck into the channel. Meanwhile the lead has gotten himself back into the fight!
Lead exacts his revenge for his fallen wingman with a final burst into the heavily stricken 110.
A fathers revenge for last game is complete! I now sit 1 & 1 against my 6 year old.
