Flight Training? Profile Avatar?

I was just meandering. Updating my profile some, and i came across various things...

I have a single green box, which is cool. I am a Rookie. I do not expect medals, etc. But it did make me wonder what "Flight Training" was as. when i held the pointer over the little box, it said that i had yet to attend Flight training. A Forum search yields no reults.

I am also wondering if i have to earn the ability to put in a WW1 plane as an avatar.

I can wait for all of those things. Just curious.

Erm... i found out about the "Flight Training".

The "Yet to Report for Flight Training" is a function of your Reputation points total.

As you earn Rep, you enter flight school, fly solo, get posted to a two-seater unit, get transferred to flying scouts, become an Ace, become "deadly in any plane", and eventually work up to becoming an Ace of Aces. (there are some other steps too, and I may have got some out of sequence!)

Actually I have a question, too.
I am the only one without country flag. Do I need to activate something somewhere? Provide it myself? Or is it because Switzerland did not participate in any war since the failed invasion of Italy in the 16th century? :-)
