I'm learning to fly, but I ain't got wings
Coming down is the hardest thing
So started running just before I retired and have regularly run 5k (3 times a week), delighted to have now increased that to 10k and have completed my first three, all in under an hour which is not too bad. Still haven’t worked out why, lol

Sound logic. Has he got his Senior Citizens pass yet or does he have to pay the full charge Comments please WC

They don't have buses in the Grim North - he has to run to always be at the front of the queues!
I laugh in the face of danger - then I hide until it goes away!
Cheeky buggers !! any rumours I am being chased by angry husbands or the excise men are also a complete fib...

So today marks my 35th wedding anniversary, which apparently is the coral anniversary. So thought I would take my lovely wife to see some corals...
She is bound to be so excited..

I doubt you could get away with it, but hey, it, it's a recognition of stick-to-it-tiveness.
congratulations Chris n Dave. We get to out 36th on Tuesday
Our 35th wedding anniversary was on 6th June and we had my wife’s bridesmaid and her husband to stay for the weekend. We even managed a Wings of Glory game!

We celebrated our 46th anniversary last month. Didn't go wargaming that day though, as I had ambitions to see our 47th

Congrats All - nice one. Yon and I have only been together for 40 years as of last Feb. But the good news is she's still sticking with it
Other good news - son Rob is now working, for DNEG, on a shot for the forthcoming "Venom Let there be Carnage" - Haven't met his 15 month old son, our grandson, Jack yet but i think the carnage he now creates at home may be Rob's inspiration
And more good news. Jack's Mum, Gillian, has two nephews in the USA, aged 14 and 11. I spent half an hour with them yesterday, on Google Meet, explaining the first easy stages of playing Wings of War WWII. Gillian had given them the Battle of Britain set. Well done Gillian and well done the lads who were brilliant students
Point taken alright Tim - or was that all left?
As Chris knows Saturday was also our Golden day, so I got Eileen something golden.
Here it is.

Thanks chaps.
It was a very happy day, surrounded by a lot of old friends who have shared the journey with us over the years.

Not spotted this thread before - a great idea

My good news recently was my son getting a first in his Zoology BSc after a tough couple of years for students in this country - they've been forgotten about, then blamed for all sorts of things.
Now on to the masters degree.
plus I'm counting down 3 months to Salute - not been to a show in many years, looking forward to it already.
Nice one Paul. Congrats to your son and hope to meet at Salute
Family success, beer and a war games show... plenty to smile about.
