    Karl,
Do you have a link or the location of the V2 file. Or is there a file?

    Thanks!

Sorry, you'll have to come up to Akron, and get on my PC
    (Couldn't resist; it's been a hard week).

I'm still going through things with V2; with work, house stuff, stuff purging, periods of malaise, and getting Origins' stuff ready, rechecking planes against the
decks/official planes that arrived after V1 has been a very haphazard process.
Shiny Squirrel syndrome doesn't help much either.
Realistically, the only planes needing to be checked are those that fall under the series 6 planes (note the number of P deck planes that went to a T deck),
    and the Ju.88 and Do.17.
I will try to get to this again.

Questions regarding the Unofficial Aircraft spreadsheet:

    What's a K+ deck (Helldiver)?

What are House Rules 1, 2, 3? Can't see them anywhere in the document.

The K+ should have been K(db) (adding divebombing cards, like the Dauntless). Sometimes I forget my shorthand. Hence, my need to go over things.

The House rules are explained in the notes file:
    https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/do...o=file&id=2137

the 1, 2 and 3 are ones that Zoe Brain came up with early in the committee discussions.

    House Rules:
These are house rules used to more accurately depict the aircraft’s performance or characteristics.
    1) Armor: these aircraft are unarmored. Any control hit (rudder jammed) also inflicts a crew hit.
    2) Self-sealing fuel tanks: these aircraft lack SS tanks. Fire goes out after 12 turns not 6.
Engine hit causes a fire too.
    3) Radial engines: these aircraft have radial engines. Ignore the first engine hit of each engine.
NON radial engines - smoke hit does engine hit too (coolant loss).
3*: Though it used an in-line engine, it was protected enough to count as a radial.
The bold and italic segment was not in the file, for no reason I can think of.

So, each and every plane is affected by rule 3, right? Then, why many planes in the list dont have a 3?

I've searched many threads and albums and perhaps these planes have not been calculated yet, but if stats and cards have been done, please point the way. Thanks!

The P1Y is in the database, but I can't recall where I posted it (if I did; probably as card request thread).
    For all P1Ys:
    Deck: Y; hits: 25; ceiling: 11; climb: 6;
    Gun options (were not included in the original post);
    Yokosuka P1Y1 and P1Y2: C/A and C/A
    Yokosuka P1Y1a and P1Y2a: C/A and A/A
    Yokosuka P1Y1b and P1Y2b: C/A and B/A
    Yokosuka P1Y1c and P1Y2c: A/A and B/A

I wish, I saw the remains of the only surviving one - Fw 189 V7+1H (Werk Nr. 2100) at Shoreham airshow not long after it had been recovered from Russia.

Fair to say it was a bit of a mess but still lovely bones. Believe it's in the States now, still being worked on.

It was being restored by the Aircraft Restoration Company at Duxford for its American owner who sadly passed away. On his passing it was put up for sale in May 2021. At the point restoration was well advanced, but I don't know its current owner or whereabouts. Possibly it is still at ArCo at Duxford, but they were very Secret Squirrel about the project.

Here's an interesting article on this plane and subsequent restoration.

Wow! This is a rare plane. Only three produced, none survived the war.

I can't find any line drawings online for the SM.74 (S.74). At least, none top-down. Only used as an unarmed transport?

    OK, a triple header:

    Fi 156 Storch:
    Deck: K(Z); Hits: 13; Guns: -/- A/A; Ceiling: 6; Climb: 8 F Base
(The J deck is way too fast, but that's where we were when Max Headroom was doing cards. Not really sure that 10 hits isn't more correct; the math says 13, but it's a really lightly built plane)

    Fw 189 Uhu:
    ZM(hf)(2); Hits: 16; Ceiling: 8; Climb: 6 HF Base
Guns: Front guns: A/A; Dorsal gun: A/A; Tail gun: A/A rear arc, level only
Note: a 3 man crew; I'm not sure if the navigator/radioman/bombardier manning the dorsal gun could switch with the engineer manning the tail gun, but it looks difficult to do.

    Savoia-Marchetti S.74
    Deck: O(Zb)(4); Guns: None; Hits: 26; Ceiling: 8; Climb: 7; B Base

OK: revisiting the Blackburn Skua (again).
Sorry for the change, but reading up on the Norwegian champaign, I think I have shortchanged the Skua.
Yes, it's slow, poorly protected and not up to a match with 1940 frontline land based fighters.
However, it was good against recon and 2 engine bombers, as was it's role when it was designed. And it was apparently fairly nimble.
So (with apologies to the card makers out there):
Change the Blackburn Skua deck to ZM(n)(db) (add divebombing cards). The (n) notes that the 90 degree cards are to be deleted.

Apparently not, though I don't know why I would have skipped them. I'll look into it.
Yes, you print them at the multiplied size. Frankly, not the best solution, but it's the easiest one we have.

Stats fot the Breda 88? Any idea what makes sense?

  40. #140

I'll have to do some deep diving into it's stats. The Wiki article says underpowered, but 0.13lb/hp loaded doesn't strike me as underpowered. The max speed is listed at 300mph, but the article says that could go down to 155mpf with
sand filters, which is a really big drop (usually 10-15MPH loss).
So not sure what is it's actual flight profiles.

OK, trying not to be rude, but flying this brick as anything but a target drone is an exercise in futility.
However (and I think I'm being generous):
    Deck: M(Z)(b)
    Guns: B/A..A/A* *or none
    Hits: 20
    Ceiling: 5
    Climb: 8

Thanks Karl, I painted this model for RA completeness, as I find it quite handsome.
    https://www.wingsofwar.org/forums/sh...l=1#post590007

I'm aware that the version for North Africa was literally unable to fly, so if there was an equipment card, it would state "to be used as ground target only" or "fly in straight line only" . I suppose M(Z)(b) would be ok for the continental version.

It is, in fact, a very sleek looking airplane. As one of the articles I looked at said: "the axiom is if it looks good it flies good. The Breda 88 proves there is always an exception".
