Summary: Subtitled: German Composite Aircraft and Operations 1942-1945.
This revised edition starts by relating the history of composite aircraft, from British experiments in WW1 with a Bristol Scout atop a Porte Baby seaplane, through the post-WW1 Short-Mayo composites to early German efforts with a Klemm 35 light plane on a DFS 230 glider. The main part deals with development and usage of the Me109/Ju88 and FW190/Ju88 composites, and various proposals including He162/Arado E377, Arado 234/Arado E377 and FW190/V1.
This is a comprehensive history of the subject which includes a lot of photographs, colour plates, statistics, plans, pen pictures of the main designers and other notables, and copies of original documents.
Having now read it I consider this to be worthy of the rather hefty (£45) price tag.
