    Default FE2

Guys would you suggest a nice model of FE2?

    I found this one
    http://www.redeagleminiatures.co.uk/british.html

Are there any other recommended sources?

Buy one of Paul's (Decapod) from Shapeways Jan - you won't be disappointed & you don't have to build it !

Here's one of mine, the machine in front is a Strutter so you can see how big they are !

Brit biplanes from SWs are easy(er) to paint. Now late-war Germans with 5 colour camo

Thank you guys, they look great! I am going for SW.

I have both Shapeways and a Red Eagle.
Red eagle being a metal isa lot heavier and sturdier, also this model only has 4 wing struts, should have 6 per wing. Easily remedied but incorrect as far as I am aware.
The Shapeways being plastic is a lot lighter but I found the tail booms will warp slightly, before painting hot water will sort this out, so I would suggest Shaping.just before painting.

    Also available from Shapeways -

early-style undercarriage FE2b, with no blades on prop, by Arctic Skunk

    https://www.shapeways.com/product/PQ...li=marketplace

late-style undercarriage FE2b, without crew (ideal for adding standing gunner!) by wow (Colinwe)

    https://www.shapeways.com/product/NY...49787&li=shops

I have all the various FE2b and FE2d prints - I can recommend all of them (but watch out for the lack of prop blades on Arctic Skunk models)

The model seems to have the blades attached on the lower right wing now.

Looks like my FE2d single model was MIA from the shapeways site - it should be back there soon once they approve it.

That's the "wow" model - the other one :-

    https://www.shapeways.com/product/PQ...li=marketplace

is the "Arctic Skunk" one, and it has no prop blades!
click on the 3D icon, and spin the rendering around to your heart's content......no prop blades.

I finally got around to modelling an F.E.2b with a standing gunner (along with two other versions, with various undercarriages, bombs, and other changes):
