Same for the DH4, and a number of other machines.

I was thinking about just either pilot or observer can fire in one turn. Not both.
It's been suggested before to make tandems less effective but I've not found the situation comes up that frequently to worry about it and it's usually by chance rather than design so I haven't bothered.

On the other hand there are several two-seaters that put the crew back-to-back. For instance, this was the primary change between the D.H.4 and D.H.9. (Other than picking a worse engine!)
