The Wright Flight took to the skies again today. We had two fun missions. In attendance were Old Guy (Bill), The G Dog (Ray), Rhodie80 (Jim), Sean Weber, Matt Lawson, and myself Camelbeagle.
First mission was early war. We had a German Gotha G.1 with an Albatros D.II for escort against some Nieuport 11s.
Here is G-Dog's Gotha G.1
His lone support. An Albatros D.II. A Beautiful repaint by Jim O'Neil.
And on the intercept, 4 Nieuport 11. Stock Ares Miniatures.
The Action started pretty quick as the Nieuports tried to swarm the Gotha.
The Gotha and Albatros teamed up and made quick work of one of the Nieuport 11.
The Nieuports tried a different strategy. Tried to take it from the rear.
Unfortunately a second Nieuport fell to the guns of the Gotha.
We actually had a three plane pile up!
Third Nieuport went down soon after.
Albatros and Gotha vs one lone Nieuport.
But, it didn't stand a chance.
Victory to the Central Powers.
Second game. We had a battle of two seaters. We had an Ufag and two Halberstadt CL.II versus Bill's Spad 7 and a Breguet BR.14.
Let the bullets fly!
Fire came out quickly.
Lots of front gun and rear gun action.
The Ufag was the first to fall!
Breguet was doing good. But a lucky shoot gave it the BOOM!
Another lucky shot gave a BOOM to one of the Halberstadt.
Down to two planes. The DH5 and the other Halberstadt. Bill vs his son Sean.
The DH5 Piloted by Bill was the victim of the third BOOM.
Another victory to the Central powers.
Great two games. We then went out for some food and refreshments.
Thanks to all who came!
