Default AAR The Wright Flight Saturday November 7 2020

The Wright Flight took to the skies again today. We had two fun missions. In attendance were Old Guy (Bill), The G Dog (Ray), Rhodie80 (Jim), Sean Weber, Matt Lawson, and myself Camelbeagle.

First mission was early war. We had a German Gotha G.1 with an Albatros D.II for escort against some Nieuport 11s.

    Here is G-Dog's Gotha G.1

Another victory to the Central powers.

Great two games. We then went out for some food and refreshments.

    Thanks to all who came!

Great looking Gotha and D.II in the first matchup.

The Boomers were definitely out in force in game two.

Nice to see you guys back at it.

In your first scenario, I was feeling sorry for the Nieuport pilots. The planes were just not sturdy enough to cope with the opposition.
    Thanks for the AARs.

    Grand AAR!

    Many thanks for posting it.

Thanks! It was nice to get back to the table. Even better to see Jim again.

I believe your Gotha G.I is improperly manned. The first and second cockpits had the observers with guns, while the third cockpit was the pilot's. Wether that would have made a difference in the outcome of the game is difficult to say.
So how many books are in your personal library?

Great action AAR's rthank you for posting. We have tended to ignore the boom cards lately to avoid early exits.

Great AAR. Feeling very jealous as currently in lockdown with only solo gaming available.
We tend to use boom cards as half starting damage (rounded up) for all aircraft now. Helps to avoid any premature explosions.

I've been doing this for a while now - most of my opponents tend to like it (or did, before this COVID ****e!).

Andy, I will have to bring that up next time. I like that rule better than the complete destruction.

We at Gritty Goblin Games us 1/2 damage for large bombers, but full damage for anything on an escort base.

It can still be as deadly but will keep you in the game early on... and still add the +1 if consecutive fire or from above.
