Thread: butcher's tally question

  1. #1

    Default butcher's tally question

just a quick question. have just completed a photo recon (AAR to come) 2 scouts n two tandems against two scouts n some AA machine guns. Query about the BT outcome. 1 scout went "Boom" another forced home with "Wounded Pilot". Two tandems and a scout made it home for the Germans and one both scouts for the British. Everyone RTB. Apart from 1 in hiding everybody RTB, but out of the 8 participants, after rolling the dice, only 1 escaped unharmed, everyone else had to miss at least 1 mission. a) is this unusual, b) am I misinterpreting the BT tables or c) I just happened to roll really crap dice??????

    a) Not necessarily,
    b) Not necessarily but without seeing the Tally written up in format it's hard to say
    c) That's probably the answer... !

Looking over this again - and it may be a silly question - You are only rolling for those who crash or are wounded aren't you...?
Your Boomed pilot will roll, your FRTB wounded pilot will roll, anyone else wounded (?) will roll. Otherwise there is no roll.

so it's a "B" then. I thought something was going wrong, but couldn't work out what. Will go back and play with the BT. Thanks Dave
