Just took my dog for his walk. We parallel the railway tracks and there is much going on on the other side of the fences. They are electrifying the line and it is closed to suburban trains for some time. The gantries they are putting on are like some sort of Martian invasion, marching inexorably towards Adelaide from Gawler, and the skies look like we are all doomed too at the moment. (I bet no rain will fall though). Anyway a train hooter sounds and the Ghan passenger train comes thundering past on its way to Adelaide from Darwin. Nearly 3000 km has been traveled and I bet there are some who will be glad to get off. We are lucky that South Australia is almost entirely Covid free and these things are available to the public. Anyone fancy a train trip?
