The COVID quarantines have resulted in a LOT of modeling time. Due to my severe ADMD (Attention Deficit Modeling Disorder) I am typically working on several projects in several genres and scales simultaneously.
One of these projects, this time a joint one with my brother, requires a G4M1, not currently available from my go-to aftermarket 1/200 vendor, Armaments In Miniature.
Our plan is to create and photograph a vignette of the Yamamoto shootdown mission, Operation Vengeance.
In order to get correct aircraft requires modification.
Above is a current in-progress picture.

This shows the turret removed, side windows filled in, 3 new blisters, radio antennae, guns added, nacelles and nose modified, and a first coat of IJN Dark Green applied.
With markings.
And before the historophiles mention it, yes, I know Yamamoto's plane was numbered 323; I am building Ugaki's plane, also shot down. Willi will be building 323 ;-)
Here she is ready for flat spray:
All it needs is a peg. And a base. And a card.
Back to work!
