Thread: Pict of the Aerodrome US and French of Vaucouleurs 1918 in 2020

Default Pict of the Aerodrome US and French of Vaucouleurs 1918 in 2020

I discovered this lost aérodrome by chance, close to a friend's house who lives in Vaucouleurs east of France (55) : https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaucouleurs_Aerodrome

It was exactly 102 years to the day that the battle of St Mihiel took place and this temporary airfield was built with a view to this one, he welcomed the French and American air forces including a few Aces like Fernand Chavannes and his "Spider Spad" that we know well here :

    Very nice!

Now if only we could get Ares to do a set of maps or map tiles based on this and other various airfields...

The Verdun game mats are finished for 6 years and a half (since December 2012).
We have been waiting for such a mat based on official maps since 2013.

We've plans to release Cyril's Verdun mats in 2013 as a special "campaign series" for WW1.... stay tuned! But the current maps are more generic, and modular. They will be two different types of products, but they will both reach the market in due time.

Andrea Angiolino wrote in 2019 that they were supposed to be part of the WW1 Campaign and Scenarios box set.

IF it ever happens... right now *all* active Wings/Sails attention is on Guadalcanal, but other flavor-of-the-month projects are consuming almost all the R&D and production resources.
