    Can't imagine it will be a centenary one day. Celebrating it on 15/9 is a nice detail. Thanks to the Few

    They chose that day because it was the largest raid which the Germans mounted during the BoB, and the first one where we came out significantly on top Daniel.

    To "the few", the ground crews, those in the communication centres, those in the factories - in short, to all who played a part. But especially to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

    How obvious it all seems in retrospect.

    But how much differently it seemed at the time.

    The world still owes a debt of gratitude to those few.
