    Default Hammerhead 2021

I have received a mail from the organisers about the show for 2021, Hammerhead is planned to take place on Saturday 6th March 2021.
The organisers are asking if we are planning on attending the show, if all is back to normal.
Do we want to attend theshow again, I would be looking to book two tables , one for Wings and the other for Sails , as usual.
If anyone has other suggestions let me know, but the main thing is do we want to attend?
If yes I will go ahead and book the tables, please let me know asap

That is a yes from me Chris. It can't be any nearer the knuckle than this year's show although we did not appreciate that at the time.

I had forgotten about that. I think that you had better eat the contents before they go past their 'Use By Date'.

My favourite show of the year. Chose not to attend at the last minute last year.
So really hope it’ll go ahead this year.

Received a mail from the organisers, due to the Covid and the, hopefully, likelihood of a vaccination, holding the show in March as normal will not be happening.
However due to the vaccination likelyhood the show will now be looking to go ahead Sat 31 July 2021.
We already have tables booked so will keep all upto date as soon as I get info.

That certainly looks like a more feasible date. I am sorry that you will miss it, Chris.

It’s always a good show so well worth the trip, although as the last one was only a few days before lockdown it was quieter than usual...

We share the same wedding anniversary, what a coincidence, However Meryl and I have a way to go to catch you and Eileen... 50th - that is seriously impressive. Now that is an excuse for a party

HA !!! As Falstaff says, discretion IS the better part of valor. Believe me I understand -- before the pandemic hit, for several years a gaming acquaintance ran a fabulous war game weekend over at The Portal in Manchester, Connecticut where they play an entire year long historic Napoleonic campaign over a single weekend (using the Snappy Nappy rules) -- it is ALWAYS done on my wedding anniversary weekend -- needless to say I do NOT attend -- senior command would not approve my leave request for sure!

Rob and Chris -- please accept my heartfelt wishes for happiness on your wedding anniversary. Rob -- 50 years! Mrs. Kyte must have been a child bride!

I've made a note of the new date in my diary and all being well Covid wise I will be there. I'm currently waiting to see how soon they call up us 77 year olds for the vaccine.

If Boris Johnson's plan to end the lockdown works, Hammerhead may take place.

As usual there is a story underlying this Karl. When I went to teach at my second school, the Deputy Headmistress was a friend of my dad’s cousin, She had escaped as a child on the last trains out of Czechoslovakia, and the girls had been friends since schooldays. When I too Mrs K to our first Staff Social and I introduced her to Eve, her first remark was “You did not tell me you had married a child bride”. No one has dared to mention it again from that day until Bill said it yesterday.

Hammerhead has been cancelled due to the extension of the Covid rules.

Depressing news but I suppose not entirely unexpected.
