Thread: AIRCRAFT ORIGINAL BOXES

  1. #1

    Default AIRCRAFT ORIGINAL BOXES

Just a thought, I was having a tidy up in my loft (yes life is that boring at the moment) when I came across the large boxes wherin I have kept the empty boxes from the planes I have purchased over the years.

I wondered if anyone needed any boxes for planes purchased without etc.

So if anyone would like any, please let me know which ones and I can go and check, theres about 90 up there dating back to series I.

I've also kept all the boxes mainly because I might want to sell the planes someday. Or the executor of my will may want to!

My white plastic inserts have turned brittle with age. It is the effect of ultra-violet light.

I kept mine for years after I had started using an alternative storage solution but eventually threw them out. The only aircraft still in their original boxes are my giant bombers as I haven’t come across a suitable solution for storing them. Does anyone have a solution for Gothas, Capronis, Handley Pages and Staakens? Oh, and Martian Tripods?

"KR Multicase" do foam trays specifically for Gotha/Caproni and for HP 0/400

I own the former trays, but not the latter.

You should keep the boxes. Years ago I was selling some old MARS ATTACKS cards, yes they are from the 60's. The guy asked if I had wrapers or boxes. He said they were worth more then the cards. I did get a good price for 6 cards that were doubles. Some collectors want the "toy" in the box it came in.
