The way Shapewayts packs their stuff there might only be 6 planes in that box. But I bet there are more then that.

Solidifying plans for my first sample batch of Ground Targets...

Base models: GHQ US90 M4A1(75) Sherman and G548 Panzer IV-H
Paints: Vallejo 71.043 US Olive Drab (Shermans); 70.604 German Dark Yellow, 70.092 Medium Olive and 70.041 Armour Brown (Panzers for green-and-brown-over-Dunkelgelb)
Bases, per platoon: 2 double Shermans and 1 single (command tank), 2 double Panzer (Pz platoon = 4 tanks ca. 1944; 3 if Tigers)

    Problems:
    1. Figuring out how to do good "grass/ground" cover on bases.
    2. Something unique to mark "commander" tanks that I can actually do with my poor dexterity... AAM had its Command Tanks with figure top-halves sticking out of the turrets, but that was twice the scale and even painting those would be Screaming Nightmare Time.

DB, Tigers had 14 tanks per company - 45 per Abteilung - on paper at least.
4 per platoon; 3 plt per company + 2 command.
With the reduced numbers pairs of Tigers would be more appropriate to offer - then the consumer can decide whether to add more to create a company and you don't have to worry about odd ones on bases. Just a thought.

Thanks; that's a ways down the road though--I'm trying to start with D-Day to Breakout, which IIRC is mostly Pz IV, some Panthers but not a lot of Tigers.

    Not many, but significant...........

"Michael Wittmann (22 April 1914 – 8 August 1944) was a German Waffen-SS tank commander during the Second World War. He is known for his ambush of elements of the British 7th Armoured Division, during the Battle of Villers-Bocage on 13 June 1944. While in command of a Tiger I tank, Wittmann destroyed up to fourteen tanks and fifteen personnel carriers, along with two anti-tank guns, within the space of fifteen minutes."

Also, throw in a handful of Tiger IIs!

"It was first used in combat by 503rd Heavy Panzer Battalion following the Allied invasion of Normandy, on 11 July 1944;"
2 Kompanies had 12 Tiger I Ausf. E, the other Kompanie had 10 Konigstiger (Porsche turret).

Last of the railway targets. These are metal MSD Games Luftwaffe 1946 Miniatures - Target Terrain 1:300 Railway Buildings I got off eBay. I like the scale and pairs can be painted suited for WGF and WGS.

edit: added a group photo with a few changes incl some added doors to one target so the building look less like hard candy or loaves of bread lol.

No pics and not my workbench, but dropped the furniture for the C8 off at the pro smith's to have it refinished. Should be able to pick it all up in 2 weeks, and I'll have him check out my workmanship and write-up a "report card" on both irons at the same time.
