Am I missing something here chaps. Are the dates now confirmed? In which case I can book our room for a what if Boris comes up to scratch scenario.

At the Premier Inn the semi-flex option is about £12 a night more than the non-refundable option, but you can get your money back if you cancel up to 3 days before. I chose this option in case Boris decides to play silly-beggars.

    Thanks Gunners.
I usually book that way, but wanted to make sure that it is the correct weekend otherwise I will have to cancel and then rebook.

Can I ask, thinking of coming to this. What time on 19th do things go on to, just working out whether I need to book 19th too or we all head home?

It's usually done and dusted by 1p.m. after the traditional mega dogfight and prize-giving.

Usually about 2-ish, which gives sufficient time for an exchange of insults before getting stuck into a game. Anyone who gets there earlier is likely to be grabbing a bite to eat in the bar/restaurant opposite the hotel.

Recommend to arrive earlier if you can - there is not much time to visit museum exhibitions during the event, so you can do it before it.

    We'll be there
I'm just booking the days off with the people who think I work for them, then its back to sleep for the afternoon until home time.

Happy to bring a game if required, still haven't played fast over Dieppe yet.

Good point. Having been there for a number of years, you tend to forget other people might not have seen it yet.

Perhaps we could start the Friday games with a short tour of the museum. Tick it off your bucket list.

    I'm sceptical.

My OCD drives me to look in detail at Museum displays, and any "tour" of a museum the size of Doncaster Air Museum would take me a good 2 - 3 hours...

I'd prefer to spend Friday morning looking around, then keep the whole afternoon for the Friday games.
    Indeed, I plan to.

I have booked the Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights at the hotel.

All being well I will be arriving Friday afternoon, assuming we are starting around lunchtime /early afternoon as last time?

Gosh, I must say, despite it being months away it is a really good feeling to be planning for something like this now

For this years Doncaster do we want a badge as usual or not.
    Any suggestion for design.
My suggestion was to have our standard badge but the colouring a Gold, if not too expensive, to welcome back the con.

Let me know if interest is there and Ill investigate costing etc

Theresa Tam, the Canadian Chief Public Health Officer has made an estimate of upcoming vaccine distribution, and saftey measures for 2021.

The prediction is better than the one February, but Theresa Tam is still suggesting that international travel from Canada will not be recommended in September, even if the vaccine is widely available by August.

My Better Half isn't looking forward to open travel by September, what with variants propagating around the world. I may have to consider 2022.

I’m hoping I can get there and I can walk to the venue... roll on 2022 if it means we have the honour of your company
