    This sure doesn't look good

I'm still under the impression that we (coming from an amber ountry)
    - need to be fully vaccinated,
    - need to be tested with a negative result max 48 hours before setting out to the UK (and that's a free test in the Netherlands)
    - need to take a test in the UK on or before the 2nd day of our stay, day of arrival in the UK counting as day zero.
So we have to take a test on friday or saturday.
However, the big problem is ... we need to arrange/make an appointment and pay for that test before arriving in the UK ...
    Let's see ...

    cheers,
    Guus

So that's the true reason why Napoleon and Austrian painter failed with invasion: paperwork!

Like others, I fail to understand why the testing costs so much. Someone, somewhere, is really milking the situation I think

I thought Canada was green now so you could jet off there?

This way they want to increase the vaccination quota !

Canada being Green means we can return. We still don't know for certain that we can go or what the conditions will be when we arrive. We've only received official confirmation that canada is opening its borders on 9th September to citizens of the USA or those with residency rights. As of the last info we received, UK citizens were still not allowed in. Hopefully that will change soon.

No one at all has posted any interest in a BSG game - just one of the Dutch chaps mentioned it as a back-up if he didn't get his first choice games.
If enough folks commit to wanting a game, I'll run one; but it would not be Friday now, since I'm in the "Zombicide" game Friday pm.

I often encounter zombies at work - and I don't mean the patients!

Plus as we normaly bounce over to Spain after the games, and the risk of being caught in a lockdown is worrying to say the least, given our narrow escape from the UK in March 2020

We wish you a great gaming weekend and will, Government permitting , see you in 2022, or sooner if you can get to Prague this year.
First Dan and now Pau! It will certainly be a very odd Doncaster this year. I for one will most certainly miss the both of you. Hope all works out well for 22.

The chainsaw is the best weapon for putting down the undead. Failing that, go for sniper skills and offer top cover for the team.

So jealous of everyone who gets to play Zombicide. Don't get hooked as there are about 1 million mini's to paint.

Now I have to go work on my Electric Chainsaw weapon card - All the zombie stopping power, with none of the noise!

Not sure it's up to him. Although CoViD-19 spreads mostly via the mouth and nose, scientists now conclude that the greatest risk comes form a$$holes..

    Hey Guys,
we hope you had a wonderful friday and saturday playing. And of course the nice evenings in the pub and restaurant.
We'd love to have been there.

On Friday Lex, Arjan and myself enjoyed a game of Wings (WW1) and a game of Zombiecide, separated by an Indonesian dinner.

On saturday the three of us travelled to Belgium to visit the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces in Brussels. I can seriously recommend it

Today you're playing "Ace of Aces" .... first time without foreigners joining in the competion. Who knows ... this time the British side might even come up winners

    Have FUN,
    cheers,
    Guus, Lex, Arjan

    HOT NEWS OFF THE PRESS.....
After 8 attempts the Ace of Aces game was won by the British, by one point, courtesy of two Germans colliding and destroying each other in the very last round of the game.

In other news, I am delighted to announce that the winner of this year’s Eagle Trophy is Mark (Woof) who had a storming Ace of Aces with 4 kills and zero losses, which combined with a strong display over the weekend gave him a well deserved win on his Doncaster debut.

Massive thanks to everyone who made it to Doncaster this year... pictures and reports, will, I am sure follow shortly

Yes indeed, many congratulations to Mark

I didn't get to chat to him over the weekend (something to do with a twenty year historical gap between WGF and WGS) but I hope to remedy that at some subsequent show, or the next Donnie, where we all hope he will return to defend his title!

Cheers for a great day, great to see you all again. Well done Mark for winning the Ace of Aces and Simon the sails trophy.

I'll leave Chris to update everyone on the others.

Sean and I had a great game, even though I drew the dreaded boom card twice.
