I've resisted sleeving my stuff til now... I just figured I'd play this game to the ground and be done with it. But... selling it is such a viable option if by some unlikely chance, I get bored of it.

Also. I feel like a fool. I had several opportunities to buy this plane at MSRP.

And, this thing was obviously used right?

I have two as well. The first I bought from Evan in Australia for $40 or $50 back in 2014 or 2015.
The second was part of a package deal.
Ares needs to get going with with reprints of Series V.

I think even the Moranes would sell now.

The problem with that plan is when I retire, I'll want to be playing more of this game.

I agree 100% with Derrick. WoG is my favorite game. I sold a lot of my old games and collectibles in order to build my WoG collection, so I could enjoy playing it as much as possible during my retirement.

Paul, same here. I cleared out several games to make room for my planes. Love the game!

Count me in, I also dropped a lot of other games (I would have probally never played). And selling most of my magic decks helped alot to get the starting money for the planes.

Some games are stil left (7 Magic decks, HeroQuest, Blitzbowl, Aventuria, Zombies!!! Collectors Box)....apart from the kids games.

I sold all of my Magic (Cardboard Cocaine) as well as my other CCG. Also got rid of all my Warhammer 40K. Now I have an airfield of planes to fly!

I only sold my X Wing for WoG. But when considering a new boardgame, I no longer see dollars for cost. I see planes.

E.g. Tiny Towns set me back two single seater planes.

For me it was 2.0, right when it was coming out, I was between 2.0 and WoG.

I went with WoG for T&T, but I fell in love with WoG proper while waiting for T&T.

    Sachsenberg - $115.50
    Schafer. - $147.50
    Stark - $114.68

Those are the winning bids of the last 3 Fokker D.VII's that I was involved in bidding on. What's next? Locusts? Water turning to blood?

Crazy out there. But I got my Jacobs Albatros D.Va, to fill out my another slot in my collection.

I just want it to be known that I ordered sleeves for this game for the first time. And seeing a plane go for 200 was the reason why.

I actually took the advise of people here.

    They are ordered from Mayday

Mini Chimera Card Sleeves (43x65mm) - Standard (100 sleeves per pack) for maneuver decks
Mini Chimera Card Sleeves (43x65mm) - Premium (50 sleeves per pack) for damage decks

Derrick, thanks. I will have to try some of those. The sleeves I found where too long. I will give these a go.

I see a Balloon Busting box (virtually new -opened but with cards still unwrapped and tokens still unpunched) just bought on ebay for £132.00 + £3. 96 postage.

I had to choose between Axis & Allies: Angels 20 or Wings... I think I made the right call, since Ares is back and AAM is dead.

Or obsessed completist... there are not words for how grateful I remain that Xen got me a pretty good deal on literally some of the last Nexus D.VII's in the world before the Ares Reboot.

    I hope not...........

There is another brown balloon listed @ £140 + free P&P as a start price, which is now going around for its NINTH time, with no bidders!

Anyone hoping to get MORE than £137 will be out of luck!

Personally I think it's just a couple of players who just can't wait any longer for 'Ares' to get off their bum and reprint; either that, or, as DB said, folks just desperate to complete their collections.

Makes you wonder why Ares doesn't get on the ball and reprint the balloons. They will sell out that is for sure!

Just following up. These sleeves are ever so slightly short. This is actually quite cool for manuever decks. But I went back to get longer sleeves for the damage decks.

Definitely we cannot say that Ares is adopting the mean strategy of many collectable manufacturers to crank out special editions, limited editions, VIP editions in order to cash in on collector's obsession for completeness.
