    Default bombing run

set up a solo game. Albatros d.v escorting a Roland c.iia to take out a supply dump defended by two AA machine guns and a se.5. the d.v led taking out one of the AA machine gun placements and going off to to face the se.. This left the way clear for the roland, which dutifully bombed the supply dump, took the gun emplacement out and turned for home. It got home without a scratch on its paintwork. This left the d.v and the se.5 to battle it out. After a lot of flying about, the se.5 had taken 15 points of damage before getting the "boom" card. The bit that got me was from the beginning to its final demise the se.5 hadn't fired its gun once, never got close!!!!!

The trouble with AI is that it usually homes in on the position of the opposing plane as at the last card played in the previous sequence of three. Unless that target plane follows a direct line of sight to the AI plane in the next set it becomes an easy almost sub-conscious task to move out of the line of fire when those next cards are chosen.

There is a maneuver generator V3 file (author osnn01) in our files section that has a completely random selection that I sometimes use for a change when playing solo. The instructions say "In all cases, if the cards picked would send you off the table or make you collide with an object or is not allowed. You should reverse the direction of turn cards or use a new card". It certainly adds unpredictability to the game.

What kind of solo system did you use?

    The result is uncommon.

From the Aerodrome files, 12 x 8 manoeuvre sheet for each deck, plus a bit of "now that manoeuvre's silly" Had good time using then, this was just "wow, that's different" moment. Anyway, back to the skies. Fly safe you all

I use the app. And it does work but I have yet to lose to AI, but it has been close. I take special damage and don't apply special damage to them.

Another thing you can do is instead of making it where the plane is imagine a straight manuever applied to the target. This is especially good to do if the plane is running perpendicular. If it would cause an overlap, imagine another straight until it is in one of then sections.

You could also apply rookie rules to your planes.
