Sorry to hear that Anthony after all your time with us here on the Drome.

Thanks, Rob! I will definitely not leave the hobby or the community! Just making some room in my life and while i love each and every one of my planes, it makes sense for me to let them go. But it is excruciating! Maybe I will hang on to one or two of my Austrian repaints...Like my Bromowski and my Oefag 153 Albatross D.IIIs with the "sofa cushion" camo or my flying boat repaints...
What do you want for the balloons? PM me
Sad to see you leave the hobby, but it is understandable. Those seaplanes are quite nice! How much you want for them. I have some gaps that need filled so I am interested in what you want to let go of.
Here is the first part of the list. All planes are $10 plus shipping unless otherwise indicated. All planes are in good condition unless noted but have been played with and I have no original boxes unless indicated. I will only charge for actual shipping. If you want a plane but think it's too expensive, please PM me. Austrian, German and French and Belgian planes are still come, as are the bombers.
I can send pictures of repaints upon request.
[See revised list below]

Sad to see you selling off most of your collection. I hope you do keep your favorites so you can them fly once in a while. PM sent.
Anthony the Guynemer & Soubiran SPAD's are SPAD VII's; Oefag 153 are Albatros D.III's not V's.

All,
thank you very much for all your interest and orders. The response has been fantastic and I am very happy to know that interest in our hobby is alive and well.
I have been swamped with PMs, thank you. I have sent a PM to everyone that has requested some planes. I will put out a revised list soon, as well as a list of the remaining planes. Please be patient, this is a lot more work than I thought, particularly while pursuing my day job (which allowed me to amass my collection). If I have not responded to you, please PM me again--I was careful to catch everyone but if I missed your message, I apologize.
Dear all,
here is what is still available from the first list. As before, $10 per plane plus shipping, unless otherwise indicated. Surprised no one has jumped on the D.VII Shapeways yet...

For those of you that have never seen the "sofa cushion camo", here is a sample (no actual samples exist, these are based on research by some experts on K.u.K. aviation). The story behind this is that it is based on curtains or a sofa Brumowski or one of this colleagues saw and thought that it would make effective camo on a moving plane). Remember that at the time aviators were experimenting with all kinds of different colors and patterns. On my planes I used a version that has mauve instead of green.

Here are the German planes. Again, $10 per plane plus shipping unless otherwise indicated (and there are a few of "otherwise indicated" in this list). If you want a plane and think the price is too high, let me know but I am hoping that I was fairly reasonable.

This is my Staaken, model from Shapeways. The plane is covered in decals--I was hoping (and feel) it gives the effect of a canvas covered plane (rather than a painted one), since the fabric was printed and then put on the plane (rather than painted on the canvas after it was on the plane). I used applied the decal the way the fabric would be sewn, that is, the fabric sheets were applied from the front of the wing to the back (i.e., vertical) rather than in one long run from wingtip to wingtip (i.e., horizontal). I hope that makes sense. I also used slightly different color decals since on a plane from time to time strips would be replaced so the coloring is not uniform. It took me a month to complete. One of the wheels broke off as you can see in the pictures; I still have the wheel, you will need to attach it yourself. Stand from Oberst Hajj. This was made before the Kickstarter made the Ares models available.
Here are my two HP o/400, again Shapeways repaints. I was experimenting on getting the British linseed oil color right--my research showed that it was not a greenish green but a brownish green as a result of the mix of linseed oil and pigment. I lost my notes so I don't know which squadron I used for the livery.
Hi Dan-Sam,
great to hear from you. Absolutely not! Listing all of the planes for sale makes me want to play again...
I dunno what it is, but something about the long wings of the Short Bombers is kind of unnerving.
Beautiful work on all the bombers, it's not surprising that they went quickly!
Just looking and thinking of the planes makes me want to play! It is just a fun game!
All,
I have shipped all packages and sent a PM with shipping details. Thanks all! There will be a lot of extra planes flying around!
I still have about 1/3 of my painted planes, 20-30 Shapeways and a bunch of decals, which I will put up when I recover from this first round, in a week or two.
Thanks for keeping us updated Anthony.
Rob.

Got the box today! Very well packaged, everything arrived safe and sound.
Got to the PO today and came home with my neatly packed stash of planes. Love the Short bomber and Oeffags and the seeds for my Russian air force! Thanks Anthony!
